Zex Bilangilangi, born Mayega Tadeo B., grew up in the Kamwokya slum in Kampala, Uganda. An artist and activist, he began pursuing music seriously at 17, aiming to use his talent to uplift the ghettos.
Zex soon began collaborating with numerous charities, which led him to meet Ghetto President Bobi Wine at a talent search event organized by Bobi Wine. Following this encounter, Zex joined Bobi Wine's Fire Base Crew, a music label renowned for edutainment, positive, and inspiring music, as well as arts in general. Zex, dubbed the "ghetto prime minister" by Bobi Wine, holds a high-ranking position within the crew.
Since then, Zex has emerged as a role model for young people in Uganda, especially those residing in impoverished ghettos.
