Sadat Mukibi, known as Khalifah Aganaga, was born on March 13, 1990, and raised by his single mother in the suburb of Kabowa, Kampala. He attended Kawanda Secondary School, where he completed both his O and A Levels. Khalifah bears a striking resemblance to Wiz Khalifa from the US and draws stylistic inspiration from West African artist Wizkid.
After finishing high school, Khalifah faced the challenge of making a name for himself. In 2012, he used $400 given by his brother for tuition to record his first single, "Mina Konda," and produce a video for it. He tirelessly promoted the song on radio and TV, leading to a meeting with Emma Carlos, a renowned talent manager at TWINKLE Star Agency. Their partnership resulted in a platinum album featuring three hit singles, including "Mina Konda."
The album primarily consists of AfroBeat, Zouk, and Dancehall tracks, with notable collaborations such as "Kizibu" with popular Luga Flow artist Mun G, and "Gunsimbye," featuring former Wafagio lead singer Esther Corado. In 2015, Khalifah Aganaga and TWINKLE Star Agency released a new album titled "Songs of AgaNaga" and planned a major concert. Additionally, Khalifah was nominated for Best African Act at the prestigious BEFFTA Awards.
