Alien Skin, a multifaceted artist hailing from Uganda, has made a name for himself as a singer, songwriter, and rapper. Rising to prominence with viral hits like "Towakana" and "Tulabise (Embozi Yo Etambuza Enkola)," his music has captivated audiences far and wide.
Born and bred in Kansanga, a district within Uganda's capital city of Kampala, Alien Skin's roots trace back to the Muganda tribe. Growing up amidst the cultural richness of Kampala, he embarked on his musical journey while still in his formative years.
His ascent in the music scene began in 2017 as an underground rapper in the urban landscape, with his official releases gaining momentum from 2019 onward. Notably, his breakout single "Emboozi yenkola" was crafted in secrecy at an undisclosed location. However, it was his 2021 pop anthem "Tulabise" that truly caught fire, fueled by TikTok's embrace of the song through various influencers' renditions.
Alien Skin's musical style is a fusion he dubs Ragga Mu Seketu, a blend of traditional Ugandan elements like Ragga and Luga flow, which he pioneered in 2019. This innovative approach underscores his role as a trailblazer in Uganda's vibrant music landscape.
