Jackie Chandiru, known professionally as Jackie, is one of Uganda's leading female R’n’B artists and vocalists. She launched her music career in 2004 after winning the Coca-Cola Popstars competition, which led to the formation of the acclaimed girl group Blu 3, a prominent act in Africa.
In 2010, Blu 3 took a hiatus, allowing the members to pursue solo projects. Jackie released her debut single, "Agassi," in both Lugbara (her native language) and English. This track established her as a solo artist and earned her the Best R’n’B Single award at the Diva Awards. Jackie has since continued to release hit songs such as "Goin’ On" featuring Jose Chameleone, "Gwoyagala" featuring Rabadaba, "Overdose," "For All Time" featuring Sami from Eritrea, "Bakusigula," "Agassi," "Stand Together" featuring Paul Mutebi of Limit X, "Baazi Yo," "Wind It Up" featuring Navio and Fidempa, among others.
She has collaborated with prominent producers including Goodenuff Records, Swangz Avenue, Paddy Man from Dream Studios, Hanz from Hanz Production, and Charlie King. Jackie is among the few Ugandan musicians to have made a significant impact on the African music scene, with her music featured on radios across Africa and her high-budget music videos receiving extensive airplay on major African networks such as MTV Base, Channel O, and East African Television.
